Rockabilly-Oriented Social Platforms

Outside of the mainstream social sites that we are all familiar with, there are actual sites dedicated to the subculture of rockabilly. In my opinion, these sites really grab the true essence of what it means to be a part of a subculture. They showcase the spirit behind the people involved, their lifestyle (which really is very different from the national cultures they are found in), and help to identify the phenomena head on. They also help to showcase the reason the Authentic Rockabilly Movement of the 1990’s failed with the internet. As it can be seen, there was much more access than before to networks of people with common interests. Even if those people weren’t die-hard like those in the 1990s, they could now become a part of something they admired that was outside societal norms. These sites help showcase how the second revival has continued to impact present day society.
